Boys' marks
Sorry if a dumb question, but I remember hearing/reading somewhere a while ago that as well as age being taken into account with standardisation, boys get extra marks v girls. Is this myth or reality? I guess this can only be an issue if competing for mixed schools, or is there more to it than that?
I shall be grateful if someone will explain.
Cheers, RT (along with rest of you, keeping fingers, toes etc crossed)

This has been of interest for some of us over in Kent as it seems that the Kent tests this year seemed more girl friendly (easier maths harder non verbal). Quite a lot of people commented on the fact that dead cert high scorer boys were just scraping through. Anyway it prompted someone to check up on just that question of gender standardisation and found that no, there is none for gender, just age. Good luck!
