Hamster Care

Post by LuluQueen »

Hey all,

Just bought DD a lovely cute Syrian hamster! We would be very pleased if you have any tips on how to tame her and tricks or things like that.

Thanks,

strange topic? we have a male hamster (they are less likely to bite) he does no tricks, not that he would be expected to, sleeps all day and eats cheese and boiled eggs amongst other things.
Handle her regularly, with care, and she will soon get used to you

I have dwarf hamsters, best thing to do is go to your library and see if you can find a book on hamster care. There is quite a bit of information on the net too. Try googling

if you buy 2 dwarf hamsters under the misapprehension that they are both male...they certainly are!

1 +1= 16

Yes, I remember something like that too.

One Russian Dwarf supposedly male. within 2 days had babies.

Took the babies to the pet shop to find out which were males and which were females. Separated accordingly. Guess what? More beep babies...

We had a syrian that had a stroke in front of us [went loopy around the cage] took him to the vet, the poor thing could only move in a figure of 8 and then looked tipsy. Given an injection [£18 at the time] and beep died 2 days later.

The chinese dwarf did something to his leg [another £20 at the vets]

Although it was a phase that many children go through, I was actually happy when the obsession came to a close.

I think the sum '1+ 1 = 16' is probably quite correct in this context!

Are you at the beep Disaronno liqueur too, HRM Guest55?

I don't think we are in a fit state to look after any hamsters today.
