Trusts and foundations

Post by moved »

On our application form for a bursary we have been asked to seek funding from other sources. Does any one know of a trust or foundation that helps middle class children with private school funding?

There is The Joint Educational Trust and there is also the Governments Dance and Music Scheme, but I don't know what they offer. I just put in that there was no assistance from any outside trusts and they seemed happy to accept that. I wouldn't worry too much.

Our application form only asks if there is any outside funding - not that we have to apply for it.

As Tipsy says, I wouldn't worry about it either.

It may be worth investigating at your local library. In our town there is a special fund set up (in Victorian times?) to support the education of those under 25 who live in the town. The Trustees of the charity regularly advertise in the small ads in the local paper for people to apply for funds.

I had that on the form I filled out too.

I wrote that I had been unable to find any funding. Nothing further was required of me.
