School allocations for Bucks after appeal

Post by susannah »

After our successful appeal, will my son go into the normal allocations for our chosen grammar (our catchment school) or do the children who passed in October go above him?
Thanks.

He will be allocated a place as if he qualified in November.

Allocations haven't happened yet -

No, you have officially joined the gang, no difference between your child and those that scored 141 on the day

We all hold hands together !

Hi...on my letter its says in the last paragraph that his place at a school would depend on something to do with the appeal ie not wether he gets in but where he goes after being accepted..if you follow?...I cant remember..didnt really get past successful...can anyone enlighten me?

Phil, I called County after our appeal was successful a few weeks back and they confirmed that our DS would be treated as if he had passed in November.

They probably mean that he will be allocated a place according to normal criteria i.e. catchment, sibling at school etc, which applies to all who have passed. If in doubt, give County a call.

Hi Phil

ATM is absoutely correct - your application is now treated in exactly the same way as it would have been if your child had passed in November.
