Thanks for posting these and well done! I doubt Balls would have succeded in a selective assesment. To me he comes across as the most out of touch Labour politician, after Brown and Harriet Harperson. God knows the Tories made a hash of things, post Falklands, and have still to admit to an honest policy position re Grammar Schools (or state schooling for that matter) and Independants. They won't get my support until they put much more financial clout into all forms of education." Viva pluralisum" I say and all strenght to parental choice; rich or poor all our children need to have high aspirations and genuine achievement. How the **** can you say that is being achieved when 18% will get you a grade C 'A' level pass in Chemistry!
They wheel on G Robinson to do a Govt PR exercise and you can see immediately why Britain has lost its self confidence and direction!
Let's take the argument to the Government and Opposition parties all... we want choice and excellence and NOT perpetual tinkering with the system. Nor do we want for the most part commercialisum running schools. Let us take the fight to them! If we will it so we will prevail!

Look at this. How can there be one rule in Northamptonshire and one in London?
