Waiting for London girls school consortium results

Post by Ellie »

Am I the only one having twice daily panic attacks over the wait for the results? I keep imagining the colour and size of the envelope and am annoying my dd by repeatedly going over her interview answers. Even my dh is ready to certify me. We both work full time and he keeps threatening to take next Thursday off, grab the results off the postman and hide the letters, which would just about finish me off.

I am on the white wine, hoping it will help me forget. Please someone tell me I will survive! :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x

This is why the 11+ rehab section came to be - parents waiting for results two years ago.

Everyone is welcome! :D :D

First timer, 10 years, is that all? I have aged about 50. My dh is refusing to speak to me about schools and has ordered dd to do likewise. I don't know how I am going to get through the next 10 days. I am about to burst.

I can feel another glass of wine coming on!!

Insanity looming here too-I have decided that it's called 11+ because it ages you by at least 11 years.
We're waiting for 2 results this week and 2 next. Thankfully we've already had one offer - so the nightmare scenario has been averted - but we're really hoping for offers from 2 schools in particular. Not sure I can last the distance! Copious amounts of (white) wine will no doubt be consumed between now and then, but nice to know I'm not alone!

hurray - 6pm - legitimate time to drink!

am also obsessing and stressing - have one offer so also feel relieved someone will have daughter but really want offer from school with results coming Friday - and if not that one then one of theconsortium schools will become more relevant

no idea how to get through next few days - work is an extreme inconvenience!

fingers crossed for is all - at least sharing the agony is reassuring!

Now, where's the corkscrew.....

Good evening fellow stressors. I am still worrying and since it is past 6 pm am being fortified by a large glass of wine. Do these schools have any idea what they are doing to us?

My dd keeps telling me to STOP asking annoying questions about her interviews and has asked me to focus on the ridiculous sums of money I have promised her if she got some decent offers. Oh Lord what have I let myself in for???
