Thanks

The 2017 dates won't be announced for months yet. You can see the dates for last year here, and the schools tend to stick to the same pattern of dates every year, so you might be able to extrapolate these forward: https://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/schoo ... re-11-plus

I believe that both schools are happy to arrange visits during the normal school day.

Thanks Sally-Anne. I was hoping that they will be announced sooner rather than later. I wanted to apply for my annual leave for these visits to keep my line manager happy by giving him lots of notice.

The deadline for schools to nominate dates was the end of December - there may need to be some horse-trading before they can be published.

Thanks Guest55.

But please tell me what the expression horse trading means? I've never heard that before!

Horse trading - schools will talk to each other to get dates to suit them both if there is a clash.

"horse-trading - unofficial discussion in which people make agreements that provide both sides with advantages"
