We just got got the email but my boy is invited for an academic interview, what does that mean? Will he have two different interviews? Any idea is highly appreciated

Same, my boy was invited to an "academic" interview. Is that for scholarship or is it the standard one?

Congratulations to your boy for the achievement. It does not say academic scholarship, only academic interview. Any idea what to expect?
