I know this has been asked recently but I realise you can't advise / recommend directly on this board. Can anyone PM me with recommendations for mock tests in the Bexley area (Bexley 11+ only). Preferably not too far away from Welling/Bexleyheath if poss.

I know there's a company that does them at Bexleyheath Academy, as I used them for my older son (and can probably find the details again)but I found it a bit ferocious - DS1 said it was far, far harder than the actual test. I'm trying to get the chance for DS2 to see what it's like / have a practice-run without scaring the life out of him as he's a bit of a delicate flower. The biggest obstacle to his success is probably his lack of confidence. Tricky one ...

I probably wouldn't have bothered this time around, except for the fact I now know that DS's school is not holding the exam in school (as they've done in the past) and so he's going to have to go to a centre. Hence the need to practice taking an exam in a big hall with unfamiliar faces around him.

Any tips much appreciated!

Thanks

Hi,
I have the same problem-lack of confidence with dd.
constantly encouraging and praising, not working very well!
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated!

Me too please! The one in Bexleyheath Academy was much too hard, which might be OK for some children but wouldn't be for my DS

Have pm u

Now is the ideal for mocks

How they do in homework or class is irrelevant

It is how they perform under exam conditions

Hi Godfather,

Please could you PM me, too? My daughter did a mock yesterday and she didn't do very well which was quite unexpected!

Thanks,

J
