That would be the eye-wateringly expensive International BA, mainly American students - most of the British do the MA and a lot do the JYA (or at least a semester abroad)

Actually, what’s quite interesing here (Oxbridge aside) is looking at the sheer number of university places that the QEB boys have obtained within London, wjere presumably the huge majority will continue living at home.

67 out of 170 uni places for various London unis is a huge proportion of the year who will not be moving to a new town/city for university…. (and that ignores gap year and “other” university places, some of which will also be in London)

Why are such a large proportion of QEB boys not wodening their horizons by seeking a university experience away from London?

I've summarized available data to get a feel of their students' preferred choices in recent times. Oxbridge, UCL, Imperial, KCL, Warwick, LSE seem most popular. Looking beyond the individual choices, a key metric is: combined places secured in Top 10 universities. Almost 2/3rd of the cohort secured a place in Top 10 (using Guardian's latest rankings), which is commendable and differentiates QE from other grammar schools.

I do not know the exact number of applicants but the cohort is around 170, as the headmaster said a little over a 1/3rd got in so I believe almost everyone applied.

Regarding applying in London universities, I believe the reason for that is international ranking in the area of your chosen study. That would certainly be my criteria for DS.

Less than 180 applied for Westminster. Less than 130 for QE boys this year. Not sure how many of those are second year applicants that with actual grades.
