Buckinghamshire allocations 01 March 2024

Post by scary mum »

I am setting up this thread in advance of the Buckinghamshire allocations on March 1st..

This year's allocation distances are here

Please post any questions you may have on here, but please note - do not post scores if you are asking about the chances of getting in. In Bucks they are irrelevant over 121, but distance will be important. Any scores over 121 which are posted will be removed by moderators as it is simply boasting.

If you are wanting to appeal for a place, please start your own thread in Appeals as it will get lost in here. Please read all the information here as many of your questions may already have been answered.
It will help if you name your appeals thread "[Username's] appeal, Bucks".

Please also see the How to appeal for a Bucks GS place 2024 sticky.

Good luck everyone. Please be sensitive to others who may not have had the news they were hoping for.

DD has been offered a place in Sir Henry Floyd Granmar School which was her first preference. The offers are already on the bucks admissions portal if anyone is waiting to check.

Anyone heard of any waiting list positions or allocations today?

According to this page, reallocations will happen (from places rejected in the first round) on April 3rd, ie today, but no waiting place positions will be given. This will happen on 15 April after the "second round" of allocations. For some reason the allocations today are called "reallocation" and the second round comes after that.
ETA: no new names are added to the lists at "reallocation", only for the second round (eg people who have moved closer).

Thanks @scary mum. Yes, it's little bit confusing as one of the parents mentioned in a FB forum that his boy got through waiting list to AGS this morning, so wanted to check if anyone else got any place in any of the schools as well today.

Yes, it's a sort of waiting list, but not! I'm sure there will be some movement today.
