What grammar school can my DS apply for?

Hi.

My son is sitting the Bucks 11+.

We live in maidenhead close to the Shoppenhangers Road.
On the Bucks county website, all of the bucks grammar schools seems to be out of catchment. Does this mean that living in maidenhead my son cannot attend any grammar school in Bucks?
If he can, then which ones is he realistically likely to gain entry into? Does anyone living in maidenhead have their child(ren) in a Bucks grammar?

Any help would be appreciated as CAF form has to be submitted in 4 weeks time.

Regards,

Sandy

Historically, boys from Maidenhead have got entry to JHGS - if you look on the Bucks website it gives distances etc. One of my son's friends from Maidenhead is at JHGS. There may be others, but I know definitely about this one!

Thanks so much for the reply,it is very reassuring,I did think this was the case until I saw the Bucks catchment map and Maidenhead was outside of the catchment. Thanks again.

Here are the allocation profiles for the last few years. Burnham Grammar would be ok most years from Maidenhead, although it is more & more popular.

PS Why would you expect Maidenhead to be in catchment for Bucks schools?

Many boys go to JHGS from Maidenhead - there are three coaches organised by parents that operate to there (my son goes there) right from the thicket roundabout, all the way through the town centre and over to Cookham. (Irrelevant I appreciate, but there are lots of girls that go to Beaconsfield High from Maidenhead - again coaches going from the Maidenhead area).

Parts of Maidenhead are in catchment but out of county for the Bucks schools. Cookham, for example, is out of county but in catchment for SWB.
