Charters School - Ascot
Hi
I am asking for a friend who is not on here - not Grammar School related - does anyone know how far the catchment has gone to for Charters over recent years or where I could find this information. She only lives 1.5 miles away but does not feel she will get in - she is having to weigh up paying for a private school place and any reassurance would help her enormously.
Thanks

had a look on the LEA website and found this
page 42 gives some more info about the criteria - does your friend live in the "designated area"?Charters School:
Lowest criterion allocated: 06 (Sibling attending school)
Furthest distance met: 3.755 miles
Total preferences received: 615
Your home address may not be in the designated area of the school nearest
to your house. Before submitting your application, it is important that you
check which catchment areas include your home address using the Know
Your Neighbourhood facility on the council website http://www.rbwm.gov.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Sorry link to the file is on this page https://www.rbwm.gov.uk/home/schools-an ... ember-2022" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It looks from the criteria that children who are in the designated area come into criterion 5 hence would have been admitted last year - obviously not all years are the same so hard to say where the cutoff would be in this year.
