Does anyone get a place in AGS after the second round?

Post by SimplyWorried »

Hi,

Just wondering if someone has heard from AGS after the second round, does the cutoff distance moved a bit further? Please if your son has been offered a place can you share and tell your distance to the school.

We are awaiting impatiently for 29 June...

Thanks

The distance didn't move at all in the second round. It stayed at 13.667 miles. It's only moved further out after the first round once in the last six years, so that suggests it's unlikely to move this year.

How far away are you?

Thanks anotherdad, yes I know it didn't move in he second round but Iam just wondering if someone in AGS waiting list get a place after 10th April, it's really very painful to wait until 29 June to get the new update of the waiting list.

We are 15.1 miles away

I understand, but even if someone from say, 14 miles out confirms they've now got a place, it doesn't help you. Waiting is horrible but how do you and your son feel about your allocated school? For the waiting list to move out to your radius would mean an increase in allocation area of 130 square miles. Bucks is of course very rural but that's still a large area.
