Ditto our DS1 (now 'year 14' at the University of Birmingham  ). The 'apply to both' advice is sound, if what you want is 'a grammar school place', but the schools are different.

It wasn't needed, but his second choice was King John.

Enquiry Meetings

Post by Addad »

We are applying for SHSB (First Choice). We were looking at Southend's Secondary School Admissions booklet and it says that number of places at SHSB are 150 but it says a extra class was added later on. Can someone give us information about the exact number of places for 2016 Entry at SHSB?

Thanks

The online version says 180; there are 180 in years 7 and 8 and the school is carrying out building work to expand both the sixth form and main school accommodation.

Has anyone managed to gather information about how many Southend in catchment boys passed last year (2014)?
