Where to buy house in Colchestor

We live on Maldon Road which is very convenient. Our son has just finished GCSEs at CRGS and our daughter is year 9 at CCHS - both can walk to school in ten minutes or less, plus it’s easy for them to get to town to meet friends etc.

We have actually just put our house on the market as we are moving just a couple of miles the other side of Colchester - which is fine as the children get older (and almost old enough to drive in the case of our eldest).

So, we would definitely recommend where we are - it’s a little bit cheaper than Lexden proper and the houses on Maldon Road are spacious and of lots of interesting designs. Ours is 5 double bedrooms, so plenty of space for a family with teeneage kids. We’ve found it great when they have friends over to stay too - as many of them live outside Colchester, we are a perfect destination for them to come to as we are so close to school, which is really lovely.
