CEM: 106.20 so 0.05 off Band 1.
Not sure whether to still put it down as a choice.
My daughter is the exact same score! Also Sept born (IC). Hoping she will get through. It's definitely worth putting it as a choice.

CSSE - English - 40/60, Math 42/60 - 339.92

Any chance to apply for Westcliff as 1'st preference and SHSB as 2'nd preference and what are the chances of getting at Westcliff if placed on the waiting list.
Thanks

The standardisation report is now out:
https://csse.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/ ... ct-003.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Both English and maths had the same mean score of 31/60 (approx 52%)
Interestingly, no age adjustment for maths this year, just English. An end of August born would get a maximum of 4.36 points added this year, compared to nearly 12 points in some other years.
Candidates sitting this year, 2022 entry: 4815
2021 entry: 4989
2020 entry: 5465
2019 entry: 5637

Re: Essex scores October 2021
Interesting to see a downward trend in numbers taking the exam, I wonder what this is suggestive of?
Re: Essex scores October 2021
Good evening,
My daughter (June born) scored as follows:
CEM - Chelmsford : 103.58 (OC)
CSSE - 344.436
Questions:
- does the order of preference while submitting the form to the local authority has any impact? reason I'm asking is that I would like to open the list with CCHSG, although, as per instruction, no girls OC from Band 2 were offered a place
I tgink, based on previous data , that she stands a good chance with any of th e CSSE schools
, would you agree?
Any inout / opinions welcome.

The order of preference makes no difference in your chance of being offered a school
you will be offered one school and it will be the highest on your list where a place is available
if you don't get a place at your first school then it is disregarded and your second place school becomes your first
remember - put the schools in true order of preference.

Thank you, appreciate the answer!
Re: Essex scores October 2021
Thanks for this. If I've got my calculations correct, from the numbers in the report, a score of 0 for English gives a standardised score of 71.95 and each mark scored in English adds 2.484 (excluding the effect of age). For Maths, the starting standardised score is 97.92, but each mark scored in Maths adds 1.644.Blitz wrote:The standardisation report is now out:

Getting full marks would give a standardised score of 417.56 for a child born on 1st September up to 424.09 for a 31st August birthday.
