If it's of any interest, I've just looked at the times the results were emailed out last year. Sorry but I don't have the girls' ones:

Friday 10 October 2014

Marling - 15:32
Pates - 15:56
Tommies - 16:02

Don't envy you guys!!!

Definitely Friday afternoon last year, with the school we were waiting for last to come.

We're spending this week looking at alternatives so whatever the outcome on Friday we'll have a plan in place that my DD is happy with. For now I'm happy with blissful ignorance.

Just in case does anyone have a note of how far down the rankings each school went on allocation day last year?

Tommies went down to 205 last year. I was told that a rank of 200 (or the equivalent under the old marking system)and under usually secures a place.

Hi all

Does anyone know how far down admissions were successful for HSFG and Ribston? My anxiety is increasing daily but DD is in ignorant bliss. We will be visiting the local comps this week anyway to have a backup plan!!

I am bit  about Friday.
I had the date Monday the 12th in mind and hadn't realised that the emails will come out on Friday!

From what I can remember from this forum last year, the results email/letter said something like

you have a score of ***
that means you are ranked yyyy
last year this school went down to rank zzz
2013 down to rank aaaa
2012 down to rank bbb

so you have a good idea of where you stand. Only difference is if you are top 120, then they don't tell you score and rank, just that you are in top 120.

We have a good alternative and dd is happy with either, so I feel more laid back than I was with ds, and as you may have seen from my previous posts, not at all sure she will pass, so trying not to stress.
