How to answer in the answer sheet?

Hi, this is my first post and my daughter had just done her practice paper. However, she is unsure how to answer the questions in the answer sheet if she only need to answer 36 in the answer sheet which has 3 columns does she need to answer 036 or just leave the first column as a blank. Thank you.
