Brackenboo!! So pleased for you!
I think Ribston almost needs its own thread at this point. It certainly confirms for me it is easier for a girl to get a place (unless someone can tell me otherwise). I’m really surprised as Ribston is such a good school.

Yes, I think Crypt did this a couple of years ago when they were undersubscribed.Imdrill82 wrote:Ribston have extended the qualifying standards and emailed several people who didn't reach the qualify standards. Not sure if this has ever been done before

It was Crypt in 2018, when they went co-ed.
They qualified down to rank 600, but on allocation day had about 70 spaces unfilled. Shortly after allocation day they let anyone from rank 601-800 go on the waiting list as qualified.

I don't know numbers, but they will want to fill to PAN.thisisall2much wrote:Does anyone know how many further places Ribston have offered?Imdrill82 wrote:Ribston have extended the qualifying standards and emailed several people who didn't reach the qualify standards. If memory serves me correctly, they were at least 20 places under PAN on allocations day.
I may be wrong but personally I think they will offer places to fill PAN now and not wait for appeals, as people do decide to reject their offers as well.
