Charlotte,

If I were you I would err on the side of caution and stay put until your son has his "feet under the table" so to speak. Unless you are absolutely sure of your ground legally its a big risk to take.

Even if it seems as if there is nothing in the rules to prohibit moving before school starts you or your son may get a hard time from other parents who have friends with children on the waiting list if they are aware he got a place on distance. School admissions can bring out the worst in people!
