Travelling into Central London for schools is easier as if you live in Zone 3, say, it can be a mere 20-30 minutes on the tube; much quicker than even a localish bus journey. I can only assume that kids who get in to schools at great distances are planning to move. I pity the poor girl getting to HBS from Watford - a horrible journey though at least one not reliant on the awful First Capital Connect.
