Please don't take this badly, but surely you investigated the likelihood of your DC being offered a place at a Kent grammar school before you registered him/her for the exam? What did you make of the email that KCC sent OOC candidates' parents during the summer?

Welcome to the forum. I'm afraid that we are going to need a bit more information if we are to help you.
Boy or Girl?
West Kent, East Kent or North Kent?
Bexley, Medway or Dartford?
Where are you travelling from? Are you near a station or would you be in a bus route?
This is a big county and travelling from one end to the other really isn't feasible and the majority of GS are single sex, so you will need to narrow things down a bit for us.
