Question from Alleyn
Can anyone help please? Question from Alleyn school....
Use digits 1-9 once only to fill the gaps. 4 digit blank number x 3 = 5 blank digit number.
So : - - - - x 3 = - - - - -
Is there some simple logic I'm missing? Trial and improvement is taking too long.
Many thanks

Re: Question from Alleyn
I think we might have had this before.
We know units of the left can't be 1 or we'd get another 3 in the answer, or a 5 as we'd get another 5.
What can we say about the Thousands if we get a five digit answer?
Does that help you get started?

Re: Question from Alleyn
I see someone already answered it previously... I will have a look at the thread. Should have done that first.
