Secondary schools in Calderdale League Table

The new English bacc measure of schools is included in the table which ranks schools on the proportion of their pupils achieving A*-C passes in five subject areas specified by ministers: English; maths; two sciences; ancient or modern history or geography; and a modern or ancient language.
I must admit to being a little surprised at the Crossley Heath English bacc result. I would have anticipated a better score.

The makes interesting reading! But I am amazed that they are not higher for the grammar schools. The rest are terrible

actually looking again the GS bacc results are v similar to many other GS - comes fown to choice of exams when neither kids nor the school knew that this would be the measure. many could have chosen RS as a humanity subject or taken a second MFL hence not done His or Geog.... still have academic GCSEs just not the ones now including in the EBacc

So I think the current govt are measuring it now so that when they make a MFL GCSE compulsory along with one humanities GCSE then it will look like they have done a top job improving GCSE results from 0% in some cases!!!
