I would like my DD to take 11plus for South Wilts girls.
I don't know where to start.
I do know that the test consists of:
a. Maths (MA) - 50 minutes
b. English (EN) - 45 minutes
c. Verbal Reasoning (VR) - 50 minutes
Where should I get past papers for my child?
Can I buy them on Amazon or WHSmiths?
I don't think a tutor is an option as we can't afford one. We're hoping to do it ourselves at home. If it helps, I have a post grad in primary education before I had my DD.
She's just about to start the summer term in year four. Have I left this too late?!

Start with

and
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/preparation" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If the entrance test has CEM style VR
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... 12&t=30079" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If the entrance test has GL style VR
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... =3&t=30178" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
As for English/Maths, ensure that your kid is at least level 5 by the end of year 5 and perhaps, higher.
You may also get better response if you post in the Wiltshire region.

Thank you so much for your reply, I did have a look at the Wiltshire section but it seemed like there had been no activity there for quite a while.

Hi My daughter is currently in Y8 at SWGS. The papers are the GL format and you can get copies of the sort of papers like previously posted.
The school has lowered its pass mark to 71% for the next sitting (my lad is trying for the boys' school) and previously at the girl's school a pass meant you pretty much got a place. I don't know if you are in catchment. Although it changed last year as the lowered pass mark meant too many girls passed but all those in catchment got in.
We are unfortunately just outside so we have 2 hurdles: to pass the test and manage to get a place.
SWGS is a lovely school. I think the open afternoons are coming up in June if you haven't looked round.

You've made me feel so positive. We are definitely catchment, we live really really close by! Thank you for flagging up about the afternoon in June. So even though she's only in Year four can I take her to look around?
Good luck with your boy for Bishops!
You said the paper are GL format, so if I go into amazon and have a look do I buy any 11 + books that say GL format on the front? Sorry for being so thick about this!
