120? I thought it was far fewer than that. Do they take the same number again in 13+ intake?

I wonder where the figure of 1000 boys comes from. On the day it did not look that much (i clearly remember the crowds at Tiffin for comparison), and the name lists displayed in the hall featured in alphabetical order c. 500 kids. But maybe i'm wrong...

I think there were 500 boys who sat the entrance exam for Hampton.

There are 120 places for 11+ (year 7) entry and I think they take another 65 at 13+.

I wonder if the other 500 were for their 13+ exam. I definitely saw it on their own website not elsewhere, because i was quite shocked and dismayed at the number. (But now can't find the page where it was cited.)

We had the Hampton letter today. Interview next week. Phew.
