One or two of the local indies offer scholarships for 7 plus , I will pm you the details . You will still have to make a contribution to the fees as it is not a full scholarship .

Also think about other things he could do to stretch his mind. Astronomy would probably interest him and also a foreign language (but not one he is likely to learn at senior school, as he will get bored when he gets there).
