So sorry to hear of disappointment at NLCS. it is a very competitive entrance process and DDs might have had an off day. Did you apply to other schools in the consortium? Hoping to hear good news soon. hopefully it will all work out for the best!

So sorry to those who are disappointed. DDs could easily miss some of the complexity of the English especially.
Best of luck with the other exams and remember that often a girl will mature spectacularly after 11 and a less high-octane environment might be the best place to allow her the time to take off when she's ready.

I agree with this, some children are 'slow burners' and there is still plenty of time for them to mature - at the end of the day the 11+ isn't the be all and end all - they can still do amazingly well at GCSE.
