Thank you PurpleDuck.

I am guessing you are a moderator. You are amazing and of great help to parents on the forum. Good job and God bless.

:D No, I'm not a moderator, Pound.Pence, although your guess is very flattering, indeed, so thank you! :D

All moderators' names show in bold font and green colour - just like those listed under the title of this thread (e.g. hermanmunster).

I just like being useful and help in whatever little ways I can. If you think my posts are of some help to people, you've made my day, Pound.Pence!

Best of luck to your DS! :D

Congratulations to all of you who have interviews. It's not easy to get to that stage.
We did it three years ago so things might have changed but this is what I remember.
Firstly parking is a nightmare give yourself masses of extra time and go for hot chocolate and cake first.
The word from other parents was that if you were interviewed by the head you had done well in the test.My son and his friend were and both got scholarship offers so I think that was true.
The interview was in two parts. Science/ maths with deputy head and then English with the head. Whilst my son was waiting between interviews he was given a poem to read and then the head asked him to interpret the poem. My DS said the questions were quite tricky.
No parent interview unlike other indies we sat.
Good luck to you all.

I think if the student was interviewed by the Head Master, it means he has done very well. Probably scholarship candidate?
