Just received an offer from SHHS. DD was also offered academic scholarship though there is no fee remission (just an award)

Must say I find these awards with no goodies attached a bit annoying - I knew a lass who got a music scholarship and all it was, was basically the honour of having it!

This one has a bit more than just an award. They have a program called Pilot Light Programme, which involves attendance at a symposium and dinner for Lower School Academic Scholars. There will also be the opportunity to have scholarly work published in annual academic journal for younger scholars. They also expected to make contributions to student-run website and publications etc.

Sounds like some sort of club for more academically minded kids?
