Apologies for not updating sooner.. we had a well deserved break somewhere warmer than here!!
This is what MP's assistant has emailed to us so far....
"As an update this is certainly a unique case, the County so far have been given about 4 pieces of conflicting advice, and it is far from straight forward. They are now seeking Counsels advice on this as they are not sure what piece of legislation takes precedence, my guess and hope is that the DDA act is the arbiter, but the education acts state that no child with a statement should have to go to a schools appeal procedure. I am told Counsel should take about two weeks maximum, but in the meantime we will keep digging to see what else we can find."
We found this really encouraging and have been told today that it seems we can appeal but are still awaiting Counsels decision. tbc!

Well this has certainly been a drama.. Twists and turns at every corner! After lots of visits, sleepless nights, tears, frustration (you get the picture)! We are hoping for Crypt. Fingers crossed. Roll on midnight!!
