It doesn't affect anything in the sense that it cannot affect his mark or the allocations.

The reason for reporting it is to put it 'on the record' in case you need to appeal.

An appeal panel might not look sympathetically on extenuating circumstances that were not brought to the school’s attention at the time.

Keep the email - just in case they lose the note they've made! :)

Is it possible to appeal in two different regions if DS is unsuccessful in both? Many thanks

You can appeal for any school you've applied for on the CAF form, for which you've been refused.

My DS did not qualify for his chosen grammar and I would like to appeal - must I wait until the offers are made next year or may I start the process now?
