Re: Appealing in Bucks
Yes we did submit our Ed Psych report.
When you ask if an Ed Psych looked at our case, do you mean as part of the Selection Review Panel, or do you mean independently?
According to the rejection letter the panel consisted of 2 grammar headteachers and 1 primary head teacher.
For what what its worth (not much i am guessing....) the person who tested and compiled the Ed Psych report runs the SEN department at a nearby GS and was of the opinion that our child is perfect grammar school material.

I can't find my paperwork but I thought I read on mine that reviews that fell into a certain category i.e SEN were moderated. S-A will know for sure.
They do have to be looked at by a panel with Ed psych present to advise. If one wasn't then that would help with the FCO hurdle.

That's really good to know. Thank you.
Will look into that further myself.

Also realised I missed a Q from guest55.
HT told us about the selection review. As it was explained to us we had no idea it was optional and could possibly make the appeal more complicated. It was more described as the next step in the process.
I do appreciate we should perhaps have found out for ourselves about it being optional. You live and learn!

I have PMd you some information about reviews.
I would not have thought a SENCO was likely to be a qualified Ed Psych ...

This is all very new to me, so apologies for being slow.
Just noticed on the rejection letter that an Ed Psych was there for support the SRP.
