Hi there
Looking for advice on School support for a Selection Review
How much weight is given to the schools recommendation ?
Score of 120.5 and anomalously low match score (high CATs score)
School will give a recommendation "with reservation " so I think that's a 3 based on variations in concentration and effort
Are we being over optimistic expecting a successful review given that we are in the rounding down catch
Grateful for any thoughts

Welcome!

Have you read all the links?

The headteacher recommendation is one important factor. How much weight it carries depends on how realistic the school's overall recommendations have turned out to be.

Another very important factor will be the progress chart for Y2-Y6.

Not quite sure what this means! :?
Just how high was the CAT score?

I wouldn't take anything for granted. We'll have a better idea when the headteacher's form is fully completed.

Welcome :)

Has the HT completed the form? Is this a Bucks primary or partner school?

KS1 levels and progress since then [Y3, Y4, Y5 and KS2 predictions] will be important.

Hi. Thanks. We should get the schools advice tonight. Its a bucks primary school. We were overseas until start of year 5 so the records are all from international schools until Y5.
