Percentage main feeder schools in Rugby 2009

Breakdown of full list to follow. Some quick percentages of 218 Grammar School places in Rugby. Feeder schools as follows
Paddox 8%
Bilton Junior 7%
Dunchurch 6%
Cawston 5%
Crescent 4%
Knightlow 4%
St Maries 4%
Revel 3 %
Henry Hinde 3%

In a strange way I have been greatly encouraged by these stats as I was (wrongly) under the impression that most places were taken from a few feeder schools. The truth will out. Thank you WCC.

I'm confused now. I can see clearly that the 2009 breakdown is for those who entered the schools in 2009.
However, when I looked at your first stats, I couldn't be sure whether they meant the children who sat the tests in 2009 and will enter in 2010. The numbers of Northants children were substantially reduced between the 2008 and 2009 figures, as promised by WCC, but I thought that that was happening for 2010 entry?

Wow...well done :D

You have to remember that many of the smaller primary schools have only one class per year.

Just to add.

The Governors Forum meets this Saturday - Governors were concerned about reduced numbers taking the test now it is on Saturday and pupils have to "opt in"

This paper has the numbers who sat the test for September 2009 entry. It has the number who sat the test from each Rugby school and the number of pupils in the year group.

The stats are definitely for entry in Sept 08 and Sept 09 as they are the same figures as quoted in the revised admission proposal from WCC back in April 09.

The total number of Northampton pupils aggregated across the 3 selective schools is 40 in 2008 and 41 in 2009. The ratio of boys to girls for successful Northants pupils does swing significantly between the respective years.

Thanks for that link Youngest I found it very interesting and heartening, as you can see the number of children from each school taking the test and then you more or less know where your DC sits within that group so you can guesstimate your childs possibilities. I find it interesting that from some schools practically the whole year take the test, or at least a very high proportion.
