I met a lot of neighbours whist doing the gardening in the front. Everyone seemed to stop and chat.

Just like Pheasant chick and Snowdrop when ever there is a whiff of a removal lorry in our road, our front hedge suddenly needs a good trim or the bins need putting out.

Some people have been very pleased to see a friendly face others have smiled tightly and never spoken again. I work on the premise of saying hello to everyone and that if some are " keep themselves to themselves" types then so be it.

PS just had a daytrip up Ed's Mum's way, couldn't believe the snow. Back to pouring relentless rain in Essex.
