Snowdrops, The following dates are the dates when we will start discussing the books.Snowdrops wrote: I have to admit to being a bit confused over what's happening (timewise) with the reading schedule. Can you just confirm when we start to read and when we then review?
1st June

Woman in White Wilkie Collins
1st July
Germinal Emile Zola
Somme Mud E P F Lynch
1st August
After You'd Gone Maggie O'Farrell
Mudbound Hillary Jordan
1st Sept
Rebecca Daphne du Maurier
Dark Clue James Wilson
1st Oct
We Need To Talk About Kevin Lionel Shriver
Smoke and Mirrors Neil Gaiman
1st Nov
The Mitford Girls Mary S Lovell
Mist Over Pendle Robert Neil
We can, ofcourse, read them when we like but discussions will start on the above dates. Each book will have its own thread. This will enable people to join in when they can and also to continue discussing a particular book for as long as they like. So, from 1st June the two books under discussion are To kill a mocking bird and Woman in white. On 1st July we can start talking about Germinal and Somme mud.

How many people are doing the book club - only its very quiet.
I read TKAMB quite quickly but now on Woman in White, which although I like it, seems to be dragging along & now it's 1st July so should be on to the next book by now!
Is there anybody out there??

Re: Book Club: To kill a mocking bird.
certainly seems to be everywhere this book, in the supermarket even, although they generally only have a scant selection of generally predictable chick lit type stuff.
