My six year old currently likes Boggle. He is making very simple two and three letter words and charging me a penny a word! Not sure who's winning there!

Another game we play at Christmas, to please all ages, is when I set a tray with different items, silly things - a teaspoon, a sock, anything. Look at everything, cover the tray, remove something. Can you remember what's missing? Kids all love that.

Not exactly stimulating but quite good fun.

Boggle is fantastic!

when my son was only 3 he took on the role of family Boggle shaker..we drew the line when he started to yell up the stairs at about 7.30 a.m...Boggle is Ready!!

My BIL was a little annoyed when I kept beating him at Boggle - he's a journalist!!

Cranium..fantastic game

(especially when the adults have 'drink taken' as they say in Norn Iron..)

Brilliant one yoyo. Risk is good if you have about three days to spare, that's two days to read the instructions and a day to play the game! Not one of my favourites but the boys seem to like it.

my husband and his brother made their own Risk game once..they are an engineering MD and head of IT now..I'm saying nothing!

Who needs to play risk? Surely we all have enough risk in our real lives... Government, roads, financial, NHS, 11+, to name but a few
