"We are deeply shocked and saddened that a member of our staff could have committed these crimes and betrayed our trust in this way. Mr Evans was arrested in August and since then we have been co-operating fully with the police in their enquiries. The welfare of our pupils is at the heart of everything we do and, throughout this difficult period, we have done all that we can to inform and support all of our parents and pupils. Mr Evans was suspended from his post in the school in August and we accepted his formal resignation in November."
