There's a Delia recipe for a mushroom oven baked risotto, it's good. Not as good as a lovingly stirred saffron and squash risotto, but fine for an east supper.

Chicken breast, tub of low fat cream cheese, curry paste, can of chick peas, some stock. Tin of green beans or whatever. Chuck all in and leave on low all day. Gorgeous.

Are we doing recipes?

Shoulder of pork
Tomato passata (ladle full)
Worcester sauce
Couple spoonfuls brown sugar
Onion chopped
Mustard
Smoked paprika
Large squirt of tomato ketchup

Slow cook, shred the meat and put back on to keep warm.

My go to bring and share recipe if I need a meat dish.

Gosh, a girl ( :? ) goes out for the evening & comes back to find the very thread she nearly started a couple of weeks ago. I think I need a slow cooker. Keep the recipes coming, tea time in the scary house is getting very monotonous.

Some and a bit?

Will go and find the recipe...

Ok my memory wasn't too bad.

Chopped onion
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup tomato purée
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce or brown sauce
1 tablespoon mustard
Salt
Pepper
4lb boneless pork shoulder

I sometimes have to thicken the sauce when I take the pork out to shred, usually with a little corn flour.

Sausage jumble (put this up before but it seems quite popular!)

Sausages, tinned tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic etc - basically a tomato based sausage casserole. Half and hour before serving chuck in a couple of cups of rice and leave for 30 mins or so. The perfect one pot supper which is brilliant for those days when people are coming in and out and eating at different times.

But then we had our Indian summer and the thought of slow cooking evaporated as we looked for some lettuce, she said, mixing her cooking metaphors!

I did a search on the old thread - might be worth looking at?

Sally-Anne - I'm still waiting to hear who gave you a slow cooker for your first birthday ...
