Coronavirus and the eleven plus
With public exams cancelled, how will this year's eleven plus exam be affected?
Re: Coronavirus and the eleven plus
All public exams have been cancelled for this academic year, but this should have no effect on the 11 plus exams in September. At least, that is my take on the matter.

I would have thought Mocks will be off. Will help to level the playing field!

Unless they move GCSE's & A Levels to the Autumn. Then there would not be enough space. Too much speculation at this time sadly. Does make planning very tricky.Macaroon2 wrote:All public exams have been cancelled for this academic year, but this should have no effect on the 11 plus exams in September. Even if we're back to normal by September they'll be no places for non pp anyway. Just think how many more will be claiming FSM in the next few weeks.
At least in Birmingham as the admission criteria has unlimited PP achieving the qualifying score

wouldn't be surprised if the exam is scheduled for sometime rather later in the year

I wonder if the late tests managed to happen, I think Gloucestershire's should have been yesterday

Brackenboo,
The Gloucestershire 11+ Late test did go ahead. It was all a bit surreal with everything going on getting ready for the schools to close the next day.
