Re: Sutton Mocks today
Bel I finally sent mine in with a snack but she hadn't eaten it because it was a short break. She said that the whole thing was super-easy but she didn't finish . Well she did finish Maths but not English. Something about a comprehension I think, that she didn't have time for. Maths had 18 questions (but with several parts in each) to be done in 35 minutes, and English was 85 questions in 45 minutes. The traffic was horrendous today and many children were late.

Very interesting proposal on future testing arrangements too.

Re: Sutton Mocks today
Quite hard to guage how they have done compared to the cohort without time consuming anaysis. I would be interested to know what percentage my child is in i.e: top 5,10,20,30 etc. Sure it can be worked out but not sure I have the energy or the excel skills to do it! Still valuable information without that and a great experience.Reading Mum wrote:so they are - now just got to understand what they mean
Re: Sutton Mocks today
I have the Results in a spreadsheet.
Overall, 1933 boys and girls sat the mock tests.
1060 boys.
856 girls
17 blank gender entries
The highest overall total score for boys and girls was 259 (boy).
Boys
To be in the top 10%, total score needs to score 234.
The highest score was 259.
Girls
To be in the top 10%, 232.
The highest score was 256.
I have not computed for multiple scores though, because I don't know how this is calculated in terms of places being offered in a real admissions criteria.

Re: Sutton Mocks today
Thanks stummyuk. I couldn't resist and did something similar. I hadn't separated boys and girls though. Only other info I pulled out was average maths score was 68% and English 65%.

Thank you for all this data, it is really helpful. Any more? Would a score of 242 get you in the top five percent and what was the highest maths mark and the highest english mark? Thanks DG
