There appears to be a bit of confusion on this thread.
The new Ebacc, which will now not take place, would only have affected current Year 7 and below, not 8,9 or anyone else choosing GCSE options. GCSE, and A level exams are now linear and examined at the end of the course, hence no January modules, but controlled assessment stays. This is what used to be called coursework and is assessed throughout the 2 year GCSE course. It is still called coursework at A level.

The eBacc is already in existence and remains. The EBCs will no longer be introduced. The last two years' performance tables have results for the eBacc. The new performance measures will include non eBacc subjects though, so I'm not sure if there is any remaining point to the eBacc.
