HBS round 1 results

Hi all ,

May I know when is the HBS round 1 results ?

Seems to take forever. As it's our last exam it's harder to keep DD motivated.

Does anyone know what the second HBS tests cover if DD is fortunate enough to get through ?

It hasn't changed, it is the same format from when my dd sat eight years ago. Standard format Maths, Comprehension/poem and Composition.

As mentioned on another thread some dds do a lot better in the second round and vice versa.

Those who prepared for DAO and Latymer second round and are also preparing for private schools will be at an advantage over those who have only prepared for CEM. DG

Hi mpsv, you should have received relevant communication about dates if DD has applied to HBS?
I know you were looking in the Midlands/Bucks/Kent or Reading as these were convenient for work, have you managed to move yet? If so do help others by sharing your outlook and experiences. Also, how has the search for an indie scholarship gone?

The result was sent via email last year.

The email invitation for the Round 1 test contains the following information:-

"Outcome of the Test

We will write to all candidates on the week of 25th September with the outcome of Round One of the Test. Band A, which will consist of the top 300 candidates will be invited to sit Round Two of the Entrance Test on Monday 2nd October. Unfortunately candidates in Band B will not be invited to sit the Round Two Test."

So assume results are not necessarily going to be known on Monday but could be anytime during next week I hope it is an email sent out on Monday as opposed to a letter received on Friday....

Last year they had given bands A, B or C only after the second round. This time they are calling all top 300 as Band A.

Looks like, the way the results will be given after second round will not be same as last year. (Some new terminology awaits us!)
