Champa
You have this notion that 20 boys get immediately deselected.
Do you have a son in the school to verify this?

There are lots of (locked) threads about this. It might be best to stick to scores on here, as suggested by Tinkers up thread.

Champa and Ritz667 please stop.
This is a thread about the waiting list. Please do not discuss anything else. DG

Quite right, if Ritz or some one else want some answer from other posters, then start another thread. Champa did not post since 4th April, so why asking her to stop posting? Btw if one see the sticky thread by WP, one can see where Chamba's analysis was coming from. One can also see there the improvement in subject allocations since 2012, when the QE policies began to come to fore and openly criticised by parents and forum members.

Now let us return to 2018 allocations and WL information.

Re: QE Boys score allocations 1st March 2018
Monday is the last school day in April and so far the QE waiting list is still on 12.
DAO has moved one place to 16.
HBS still does not seem to have reached the 20 that would give places to all the families invited on offer day.
The Watford lists seem very slow as does Latymer and St Ms.
A very quiet year so far. DG

Someone I know sent in the refusal of the place on Wednesday. That means there should be at least one more place offered to the waiting list.

May be Brexit is pinching and in uncertain economic times, fewer people wanting to decline top state schools offer?Daogroupie wrote:Monday is the last school day in April and so far the QE waiting list is still on 12.

Or maybe, a whole bunch of people whose DS qualified for a place at the school and who put it first on their CAF actually wanted said place? Bit far-fetched, I know, but... .tiffinboys wrote:May be Brexit is pinching and in uncertain economic times, fewer people wanting to decline top state schools offer?Daogroupie wrote:Monday is the last school day in April and so far the QE waiting list is still on 12.

Re: QE Boys score allocations 1st March 2018
For us Brexit was definitely a factor. Our boy goes to a private prep school, and before the referendum we thought about sending him to a private secondary school like Habs or St Albans. However, our company now has a bumpy, uncertain time ahead as most of our customers are in Germany and France (and our latest figures seem to validate our concerns). So as soon as we were sure our boy had a place in DAO (and QE, but we decided for DAO), we did not even enter him for the tests at Habs or St Albans.ToadMum wrote:Or maybe, a whole bunch of people whose DS qualified for a place at the school and who put it first on their CAF actually wanted said place?
