Total number of children in each category:
All: 1963
All South: 1097
All East: 723
All Boys: 986
All Girls: 977
Boys East: 379
Girls East: 344
Boys South: 536
Girls South: 561
From this we can tell that at least 143 out of priority area candidates sat the test (71 boys and 72 girls). The actual figure will be slightly higher as there is a small area which is in both the Eastern and Southern circles.
379 (up 26) boys sat east for approx 135 places - approx 1 in 2.81 (but complicated by the dual circle)
344 (up 12) girls sat east for approx 135 places - approx 1 in 2.55 (but complicated by the dual circle)
(assuming Ashlawn take an equal gender mix)
536 (down 46) boys sat south for approx 141 places - approx 1 in 3.80
561 (up 11) girls sat south for approx 172 places - approx 1 in 3.26
(assuming Alcester take an equal gender mix - they will probably in practice have more boys due to the discrepancy in place at the single gender schools)

Cant believe their here. However I have to wait until my daughter comes home before I open it! It's going to be a long day
Re: Warwickshire results arrived by post this morning
OMG
I am working and I cannot leave until the afternoon, and my DD is having a sleepover after school.... .and she does not want me to open without her.
It means I will not able to see the results until tomorrow.
I cannot resist. Does anybody know any spy techniques on how to read a letter without opening it?

Re: Warwickshire results arrived by post this morning
What do the scores above mean?

Re: Warwickshire results arrived by post this morning
I am really confused as the letter says ... "Because of the way this year's test results have been compiled it is not possible to compare this year's results with those from previous years. You should therefore consider your child's ranking very carefully along with the number of grammar school places available" Can they make it any more difficult and stressful???
Re: Warwickshire results arrived by post this morning
They're not scores, just the number of children in each of the categories.baleh0 wrote:What do the scores above mean?
