my son has failed and he has begged me to do the appeal

my son has failed his 11+ test and failed by quite abit he got 205 he was so upset he hasnt stopped crying all his friends have passsed apart from 1 and he says he feels alone because his friends are all going to be gone .He has begged me to appeal but i really dont no what to do for the best .On the morning of the test my father had a major heart attack and i dont no whether that has contributed to his stress on the day .I wouldn't say my son was really brainy but he is average and i think he deserves the chance to go to a school he realy wants to go to

Hi, firstly I'm really sorry your son didn't pass, he will obviously be disappointed.

If I were you, I'd have a chat with your son's teacher, who will know whether he would be suited to a grammar or not. Take your lead from them, then decide what to do.
