Format for Habs girls exam tomorrow
Does anyone know the details? I'm assuming English comp and writing and Maths (2 papers?), but is there also VR or NVR?

Hi Middlesexmum
Just going on the website it doesn't look like NVR is tested.
At 11+ candidates take an Entrance Examination consisting of written papers in English, Mathematics and verbal reasoning.
I would be surprised if it is different on the day.
Also, I have just looked at Habs boys website and this was their format - I would assume that the format for today would be similar.
9:15 - 9:40 Arrival by car
9:40 - 10:00am Registration
10:00 - 11:20 am English paper
11:20 - 11:45am Mid morning break with snack
11:45 - 12:45pm Maths papers
12:45 - 1:55pm Lunch
1:55 - 2:40pm Reasoning paper
Good luck

Actually there is no link between the boys and girls exams. The schools are quite different.
The exams at the girls schools start with a VR paper that is very close to DAO and Herts Consortium. There is no NVR Then either Maths and then English or the other way around. There are breaks between each exam with juice and biscuits. Both my dd's enjoyed the day. They both found the Maths quite hard compared with the Consortium. DG

Thank you, only just seen second post so told dd English was first! Never mind. I know the Maths is hard so I told dd not to panic. It's good to know in advance what to expect.
Good luck to everyone sitting today, just hope we'll get out the car park before midnight!
