New GS in Maidenhead
Ok I know this is from the Daily Fail, but has anyone else heard about this?

Re: New GS in Maidenhead
Thank you for posting this Tinkers.
Good, if the proposal goes through to completion stage. At the moment there is no grammar school in RBWM (Royal borough of Windsor and MAidenhead) and residents have to send their DCs either to Reading, Slough or Bucks grammars. Having one in RBWM will reduce the strain on other schools as well.
Would be nice if they publish more details: girls/boys, location, starting year.

Initial consultation here:

Initial response in papers here:

I think t.m. has now given it consideration and that's why it's hitting the headlines.
Assume, gs in question will be Langley? Proposals due to be decided by Jan 2015 following cabinet decisions.
Many ideas being discussed, not just gs satellite annex.

There are two threads on this, maybe one of the mods can merge them?

Surely this is Theresa May just making a few vote-catching headlines prior to the general election? It hasn't got much to do with her at all has it?
